The basics

What is data analytics?

It is the practice of studying data to answer business questions. Analysts work through four kinds of questions, from what happened to what we should do next.

๐Ÿ“ˆ
Descriptive

What happened? Summaries, trends and reports on past results.

๐Ÿ”
Diagnostic

Why did it happen? Compare groups and periods to find the cause.

๐Ÿ”ฎ
Predictive

What may happen? Use patterns to forecast demand, risk and behaviour.

๐Ÿงญ
Prescriptive

What should we do? Recommend actions and judge their likely impact.

๐Ÿ’ก
Better questions, better decisions

A manager wants to know why sales dropped or which customers may leave. An analyst finds the answer in the data and explains it in plain words and clear charts. That skill is useful in every department.

FAQ

Data Analytics course in Hyderabad: your questions

Not here? Ask us on WhatsApp or talk to SMALL i.

Do I need coding experience?

No. You start with spreadsheets and SQL. Python is introduced gently and is optional for many analyst roles.

Do I need strong maths?

School-level maths is enough. The course teaches the statistics you actually use at work.

Which tool should I learn first?

Start with Excel, then SQL. These two cover most day-to-day analyst work and make every other tool easier.

How is a data analyst different from a data scientist?

Analysts explain what happened and why, using reports and dashboards. Data scientists build predictive models. The skills overlap, and many people move from one to the other.

Will I get a job after the course?

No institute can promise a job. Results depend on your practice and projects. We help you build a portfolio and prepare for interviews.
